A wedding at the Post! Jim Overdorf and Sue Hall are getting married on Saturday, 29 March, at 1:00PM. There will be a reception with finger food right after. If you're a Post 72 or Auxiliary member or a friend of Jim and Sue, please come help us celebrate their marriage!
Post 72 is hosting a blood drive soon! The blood donation process from the time you arrive until the time you leave takes about an hour. The donation itself is only about 8-10 minutes on average. Enjoy the feeling of accomplishment knowing you are helping to save lives. Hope to see you there!
I was proud to serve you but now I am worn and tired. Please repair me, and/or replace me with a strong and new flag of which you can be proud.
If you have a flag that needs to be retired, you can get in touch with American Legion POST 72 Aberdeen NC.
Please contact us at info@ncpost72.org.

The American Legion was founded in Paris, France, at the close of World War I, and was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest veterans service organization, committed to mentoring and sponsorship of youth programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting a strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service-members and veterans. The organization now includes wartime veterans of World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Lebanon/Grenada periods, Operation Just Cause in Panama and has grown into the largest veteran's organization in the world.
